Cotton Candy Ice Cream with Marshmallow Swirl recipe
After the girls came back from their first visit to Disney, we had to commemorate the trip with a special ice cream flavor! We made a magical Frozen themed ice cream that we called The Arendelle Special and if you have kids, I think you’ll enjoy making this one.
Ingredients:
Ice Cream Base
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cotton candy syrup
Marshmallow Swirl
1 jar marshmallow fluff
Blue food coloring
1 cup heavy cream
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, cotton candy syrup, and vanilla extract. Keep stirring for about five minutes until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once the ice cream is ready, transfer it to a container and freeze it for at least 2 hours.
In a small bowl, mix the marshmallow fluff with blue food coloring until you achieve the desired color. Set the mixture aside.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.
Take the ice cream out of the freezer and layer it in a container with the marshmallow mixture and whipped cream. Use a knife to swirl the marshmallow mixture throughout the ice cream.
Cover the container and freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours, or until it's firm.
Once the ice cream is ready, scoop it into bowls and serve it with your favorite toppings, such as sprinkles, whipped cream, or cotton candy.
This cotton candy ice cream is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with its fluffy texture and irresistible flavor. Give it a try and impress your family and friends with your homemade dessert skills.
