Caramel Apple Ice Cream recipe

Nothing says fall quite like the classic combination of caramel and apples. And what better way to enjoy these flavors than in a delicious scoop of homemade ice cream? This Caramel Apple Ice Cream recipe is the perfect treat to enjoy on a crisp autumn day, and it’s surprisingly easy to make at home.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 3/4 cup whole milk

  • 1 cup reduced apple cider

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/8 cup light corn syrup

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1/8 tsp allspice

  • 1/8 tsp clove

  • Dash of nutmeg

To start, reduce 2 cups of apple cider in a saucepan over medium heat until you have 1 cup of liquid remaining. This will intensify the apple flavor and give your ice cream a more concentrated taste. Let the apple cider cool.

In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and light corn syrup. Mix the ice cream base, stirring occasionally, until the sugars have dissolved.

Next, add in the reduced apple cider, ground cinnamon, sea salt, allspice, clove, and nutmeg. Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When the ice cream is done churning, transfer it to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until it is firm.

Serve your Caramel Apple Ice Cream with a drizzle of caramel sauce.

This recipe is sure to be a hit with anyone who loves the flavors of fall. It’s rich, creamy, and bursting with apple and caramel flavors that are perfectly balanced by the warm spices. So, grab a spoon and dig in – you won’t regret it!
