Tagalongs Ice Cream recipe
I love girl scout cookie season. Partially because of the cookies, but mostly because I get to make Gril Scout Cookies ice cream! Here’s an easy recipe for you chocolate and peanut butter lovers to try at home.
Ingredients:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup Silly Cow Farms chocolate mix
8 Tagalongs cookies
Instructions:
Crush the Tagalongs cookies into small pieces and set them aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and chocolate mix, until well combined.
Once the mixture is thoroughly mixed, pour it into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
When the ice cream is almost done, add in the crushed Tagalong cookies and continue to churn until the ice cream is fully set and the cookies are evenly distributed.
Once the ice cream is fully set, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze it for at least 2 hours, or until it reaches your desired consistency.
Serve and enjoy your homemade Tagalong ice cream!
Tips:
Make sure to crush the Tagalong cookies into small pieces to ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.
If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can still make this recipe by pouring the mixture into a freezer-safe container and stirring every 30 minutes until the desired consistency is reached.
For an extra-decadent treat, you can top your Tagalong ice cream with whipped cream and extra cookie crumbs.
You can also customize this recipe by using different types of Girl Scout cookies or adding in other mix-ins like chopped nuts or candy pieces.
