Peppermint Cocoa Ice Cream
As the holiday season approaches, the air fills with the unmistakable scent of pine, the sound of festive music, and the excitement of upcoming gatherings. Christmas isn't just a day on the calendar; it's a feeling that envelops us, bringing with it cherished traditions and the joy of creating new memories. Among the many flavors that define this magical time of year, eggnog, hot cider, and hot peppermint cocoa stand out, each offering its own unique blend of comfort and celebration.
While I'm still on the quest to perfect "hot ice cream," this year, I wanted to bring a piece of Christmas magic to the dessert table in a new and exciting way. Inspired by the rich flavors of the holiday season, I'm thrilled to introduce a dessert that captures the essence of Christmas in every scoop: Peppermint Cocoa Ice Cream.
This delectable treat was born from a collaboration with my dear friend Rae and a delightful find from Silly Cow Farms in Wells River, Vermont: their Chocolate Peppermint Twist mix. Together, we've created an ice cream that's not just a dessert; it's a journey through the nostalgic lanes of Christmas past and present.
